Ahsanullah teacher sent to jail

A Dhaka court on Monday sent Mahfuzur Rashid Ferdous, the sacked teacher of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, to jail after rejecting his bail petition in a case filed over sexual harassment.

Metropolitan Magistrate Amirul Haider Chowdhury passed the order after his lawyer moved a bail petition in the case.

On May 4, Ferdous was arrested from his Eskaton apartment in Dhaka following a case filed by an AUST alumnus.
