Buddhist monk slaughtered in Bandarban

A Buddhist monk has been slaughtered inside the temple by unindetified miscreants at Upchakpara area of Baishari union under Naikkhanchhari upazila in Bandarban.

The dead man is Mong Shu You Chak, 70. His son’s wife spotted him when she had gone to serve food at Upchakpara Buddhist Temple early Saturday.

The family members claimed that Mong had no personal or family feud with anyone.

In this connection, Second Officer of Naikkhanchhari Police Station Kazi Ahsan said, we are investigating to unearth the reason behind the murder and the killers will be brought to justice after the move.
