Ansar member gunned down by miscreants in Teknaf

An Ansar member has been shot dead by miscreants while looting a barrack of the force inside the Rohingya refugee camp of Teknaf upazila, Cox’s Bazar in the early hours on Friday.

The dead man is identified as Ali Hossen, in his fifty five, a resident of Tangail.

Police sources said, a gang of armed miscreants stormed the barrack at Shalbagan inside Muchni registered Rohingya camp at around 2:20am.

When Ali Hossen tried to resist them, the miscreants opened fire to him, leaving him critically injured.

Later Ali Hossen has been taken to the Ansar camp hospital where doctors declared him dead.

The miscreants looted 11 firearms from the Ansar barrack, said Mohammad Kashem, Officer-in-Charge of refugee camp.
