Rajshahi UP polls violence victim dies
A man, who was suffered injury in violence over the fourth phase of the union parishad polls held on May 7, died at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital early Thursday.
Motiar Rahman, officer-in-charge of Bagmara Police Station, confirmed the matter.
He said, Montaj Ali was hit by a bullet in his lower abdomen during a clash on the day of elections.
Montaj hailed from Sarandi village in Bagmara upazila, the OC said.
On May 7, two people were killed and 50 others hurt in a clash between the supporters of Awami League chairman candidate, its rebel candidate and police in Auchpara union in Bagmara.
Another victim died from his injuries at a local clinic on May 9.
