DUCSU VP candidate Nur attacked by BCL

The leader of quota reform movement and the Vice President candidate of Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) Nurul Haque Nur was injured and two others in an attack by the female candidates of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) nominated panel on Monday.

He was beaten up in presence of BCL’s central President Rezwanul Haque Chowdhury Shovon and General Secretary Golam Rabbany in front of Rokeya Hall around 12 pm. 

Later Nur was rushed to the hospital in an unconscious state.   

According to the witnesses, Rokeya Hall authorities showed the candidates six out of nine ballot boxes keeping those open. Some of DUCSU candidates also wanted to see rest of three boxes in same way. Following the matter, Nur and his fellows locked into brawl with the female candidates of BCL nominated panel and he and two others were injured by them.
