Security beefed up at BSMMU
The security has been beefed up at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) on Monday morning as the Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader is receiving treatment at the hospital.
Some police officials took their position in front of the No-3 gate of the hospital.
“We have been staying here from 7 am. We are performing our duties for the sake safety,” said on-duty police official Mujib.
Earlier on Sunday morning Quader was admitted to BSMMU after he fell sick.
Doctors had found three blockages in his coronary artery following an angiogram.
Later President Md Abdul Hamid, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury visited Quader in the hospital.
