President, PM visit ailing Quader at BSMMU
After returning to Dhaka from Rajshahi, the premier rushed to the hospital around 3:34 pm.

President Md Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina visited ailing Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) on Sunday afternoon.

After returning to Dhaka from Rajshahi, the premier rushed to the hospital around 3:34 pm. She enquired about his treatment and left the hospital around 4:15 pm. 

Later the President reached the hospital around 4:25 pm to visit ailing minister and also the General Secretary of Awami League Quader.   

Earlier in the day, Quader was admitted to BSMMU after he fell sick at 7 am.

Abu Naser, Public Relations Officer to the minister, said he (Quader) complained of breathing problem after Fazr prayers and was taken to the BSMMU immediately. 

Professor Syed Ali Ahsan, chairman of the hospital’s cardiology department, said the doctors have found three blockages in his coronary artery following an angiogram.

“His health condition is now better than morning. But the situation is still critical. He will be under observation for 72 hours,” the doctor added.
