CEC blames political parties for thin presence of voters

The Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda has blamed the political parties and its candidates for the thin presence of the voters in the polling centres.

The CEC said this on Thursday at 10:30 am after casting his vote at the polling centre of IEES High School in Uttara.

He said I don’t think that there is any flaw in the election system. The polling officers, presiding officers and law enforcement agencies are appointed.

However, the voting in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) mayor and 36 war councilor posts is underway peacefully.

Of the wards, 18 wards are under DNCC and 18 are under Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).

A total of 382 mayor, councilor and reserved women councilor candidates are participating in the elections.
