President returns home after health check up
President M Abdul Hamid returned home on Wednesday night after health check-up in Singapore hospitals, reports BSS.
“A regular aircraft of Singapore Airlines Limited carrying the President and his entourage landed at Hazrat Shahjalal (R) International Airport at about 10.40 pm,” said President’s Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad.
On his arrival at the airport, the President was received by Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen, State Minister for Aviation and Tourism M Mahbub Ali, dean of the diplomatic corps, chiefs of the three services, foreign secretary, inspector general of police (IGP), secretary to the Prime Minister’s office and high civil and military officials, he added.
During his six-day visit, Abdul Hamid underwent his medical checkup at Mount Elizabeth Hospital and eye treatment at Singapore National Eye Centre.
The President left Changi International Airport, Singapore, where High Commissioner of Bangladesh Md Mustafizur Rahman saw him off at about 8:35 pm on Wednesday.
The President left Dhaka for health check up on February 6.
