SUST student dead body recovered

Police recovered a hanging body of a student of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) in Sylhet at 1am on Sunday.

The hanging body was rescued from a mess in Borgul area adjacent to the campus.

The deceased is Bishwajit Mallik, a second year student of the Forestry and Environmental Science Department of the university.

He was the son of Jadob Mollik at Sonakanda village under Sirajdikhan upazila of Munshiganj district.

Hearing the news Student Adviser Affairs of SUST Professor Dr. Rashed Talukder along with Assistant Proctor rushed to the spot.

Being informed the police also visited the spot and rescued the dead body of Mallik breaking the door of his room.

Sub Inspector of Jalalabad Police Station Enamul Hasan told that, we suspected that it’s a matter of suicide. The dead body was sent to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital for post mortem.
