Three people were killed in separate road accidents in the capital early Tuesday.

Two persons were killed on the spot when Badda-bound ‘Dewan Paribahan’ ploughed through a tea-stall at Coca Cola bus stand area.

The deceased were identified as tea-stall owner Shahin, 42, hailing from Pirojpur, and security guard Kabir Hossain, 45, hailing from Bagerhat.

Shihab Uddin, Inspector (opearation) of Bhatara Police Station, said they recovered the bodies and seized the bus. The bodies were sent to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) for autopsy.

Besides, an unidentified woman, aged around 45, was taken to DMCH in the morning. She appeared to have been hit by a vehicle at Mouchak intersection.

“The woman was injured and unconscious when a pedestrian brought her to the hospital in the morning. She died around 7am,” said DMCH police outpost Inspector Bacchu Miah.
