Three killed in separate road accidents in capital
Three people were killed and two others injured in two separate road mishaps in the capital today.
The accidents took place in airport and 300 feet area in the capital at 1am and 2.30am respectively, reports BSS.
The deceased are Dalim, 23, his brother-in-law Mobarak Hossain, 31, and Bulbul Hossain, 21. The injured persons are Sagar, 20, and Qamrul, 22.
“Dalim and Mobarak died on the spot as a rod-laden truck hit them when they were crossing the airport road beside Haji Camp around 1am. Police detain the driver and helper of the killer truck,” Airport Police Station sub-inspector Asaduzzaman told BSS.
Meanwhile, Bulbul Hossain was killed and two others Sagor and Kamrul were injured in a road crash on 300-feet road in Khilket area.
Received on information about an accident, a team of police rushed to the scene and found the three young men critically injured inside a damaged CNG-run auto-rickshaw, said assistant sub-inspector Md Shahjahan Kabir of Khilkhet Police Station.
Later, they were rushed to a hospital where doctors declared Bulbul dead, the officer added.
It could not be known yet how the accident occurred, he said.
Two cases were filed in this regard.
