13 bodies handed over to families

Nilphamari district administration on Saturday morning handed over the bodies to the families of those who were killed in a road accident in Cumilla.

Each family was also given Tk 20,000, a blanket and some dry foods.

The bodies were handed over at Rajbari Karnamoyee government primary school at Shimulbari union of Jaldhaka upazila in Nilphamari at 8am. 

Deputy Commissioner Begum Nazia Shirin, Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate Subhashish Chakma, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Suja-ud-Doula and Shimulbari union parishad chairman Hamidul Haque were present among others.  

At least 13 workers were killed and 5 others injured when a coal-laden truck overturned on a makeshift shed at a brick kiln in Cumilla when the workers were still sleeping in early morning of Friday.
