As the disputes over holding the Biswa Ijtema were resolved, the second largest congregation of Muslims will now be held on the banks of Turag River in Tongi from February 15 to 17.

“The three-day Ijtema will be held on February 15, 16 and 17,” a spokesman of the Religious Affairs Ministry told BSS this evening, reports BSS.

The decision was taken at a meeting with two factions of Tabligh Jamaat at the Secretariat this afternoon where the Prime Minister’s Military Secretary and the Religious Affairs Secretary were, among others, present.
