The acting editor of Daily Manobkantha Abu Bakar Chowdhury died of a heart stroke early Tuesday. He was 55.

He breathed his last at Ibne Sina Hospital in the capital 5:15am.

According to his family, he suffered from a heart stroke at his residence and was admitted to the hospital where the doctor declared him dead. 

Abu Bakar was born at Green Road area in Dhaka on June 21, 1964. He had completed masters degree in management from Dhaka University. 

He joined Manobkantha as a news editor in 2012 and took charge of acting editor in 2015. After two years, he was appointed as executive editor of the daily.
