Rejaul for making RAJUK more pro-people institution

Housing and Public Works Minister SM Rejaul Karim today urged the officials to play more dynamic role in transforming the Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) into a pro-people institution.

“RAJUK should be made a pro-people institution, improving its quality of services. The officials should increase their sincerity and play more dynamic role to this end,” he said at his first meeting with officials and staff at the RAJUK after assuming office as the housing and public works minister, reports BSS.

Housing and Public Works Md Shahid Ullah Khandaker and RAJUK Chairman Md Abdur Rahman and other officials of the ministry and RAJUK were present in the meeting, said an official release.

Urging the officials to deliver services with transparency as per the rules and regulations, Rejaul said “Stern actions will be taken if any allegation of irregularities or negligence to works is found”.

Earlier, the minister made sudden visits to different departments under the ministry and asked for taking action against absent officials in the respective offices, the release added.
