The 11th parliament will convene at 3:00pm on January 30. The first sitting will see a speaker and a deputy speaker elected, according to Jatiya Sangsad.

The 11th parliamentary elections was held on December 30 last year while Awami League (AL) got landslide victory. 

According to the polls results, Awami League bagged 259 seats, HM Ershad-led Jatiya Party secured 20 seats while BNP got just five seats.

Workers Party bagged three seats while Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal two seats, Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh two seats and Tariqat Federation one seat.

Gono Forum bagged two seats while Manju-led Jatiya Party (JP) one seat and independent candidates got three seats.
