PM pays final tribute to Syed Ashraf

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina here today bid farewell to her close political associate and cabinet colleague Sayed Ashraful Islam by paying floral wreath on his coffin, reports BSS. 

The prime minister paid floral wreath on the coffin of Syed Ashraf following first namaj-e-janaja of the late leader at Jatiya Sangsad South Plaza.

Sheikh Hasina, flanked with party leaders also placed a floral wreath on behalf of Awami League on the coffin of Syed Ashraf, a former general secretary of the party.

Later, the prime minister took part in a munajat seeking doa for the deceased.

Syed Ashraful Islam, country’s one of the most reverent politician of contemporary period, minister for Public Administration and former breathed his last at a hospital in Bangkok on Thursday last.
