Driver of Supravat Paribahan sent to jail

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court ordered to send the driver of Supravat Paribahan to jail over the death of two garment workers in the capital’s Malibagh.
The arrestee is identified as Md Junayed.
The investigation officer of the case, sub-inspector Faruk Khan at Hatirjheel Police Station, produced him before the court and sought to detain him jail. Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sahinur Rahman granted the plea.
On Tuesday, a Gazipur bound bus of Supravat Paribahan ran over the duo while they were crossing the road near Abul Hotel at 1:30 pm. Of them, Polly died on the spot and Meem was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital as she was injured seriously where doctors declared him dead.
