Garment workers block Rampura road over death of two colleagues

Garment workers have taken to the street to protest over the death of two colleagues in the capital’s Rampura on Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as Nahida Parveen and Meem. They were working at MH garment.
A Gazipur bound bus of Supravat Paribahan ran over the duo while they were crossing the road near Abul Hotel at 1:30 pm. Of them, Polly died on the spot and Meem was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital as she was injured seriously where doctors declared him dead, said Rampura Police Station OC Enamul Haque.
Police seized the bus and arrested the driver, the OC added.
