Nizami’s verdict: state satisfied

Attorney General Mahbubey Alam has expressed satisfaction as the Supreme Court upheld the death sentence for condemned war criminal Jamaat leader Motiur Rahman Nizami.

Attorney General expressed his reaction to the reporters after giving the verdict on Nizami’s review by Supreme Court on Thursday morning.

Earlier, the four-member Appellate Division bench headed by Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha upheld death sentence for Motiur Rahman Nizami for crimes against humanity during the country’s 1971 War of Independence.
