Viqarunnisa teacher Hasna gets bail

The teacher of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College Hasna Hena has been granted bail in a case filed for instigating the suicide of a Class-IX student Aritree Adhikari.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Baki Billah on Sunday passed the order on condition of a bond of Tk 5000 until the police report is submitted.

Jalal Uddin, Sub Inspector of Palton Police Station, confirmed the matter to Jago News. 

Earlier on December 5, Hasna was arrested from a Hotel in Uttara and brought her to DB office. 

On December 3, Aritree Adhikari, a Class-IX student, committed suicide at their Shantinagar residence in the city after allegedly being rebuked by teachers for using mobile phone during examination.

Later Victim’s father Dilip Adhikari filed a case against the three teachers of the school including morning shift teacher Hasna Hena for “instigating the suicide”.
