Dhansagar station officer suspended over Sundarbans Fire

The Dhansagar station officer of Chandpai range Mohammad Sultan Mahmud has been suspended over the latest fire incident of 27 April at the Tultala area of the Sundarbans under Chandpai Range in Sharankhola upazila.

Divisional Forest Officer (East) Md Saidul Islam on Wednesday morning confirmed the suspension news.

Earlier, he was transferred to the Chandpai range office over the second and third fire incidents, he added.

It has initiated three cases over the fires and so far, police have arrested five people, it is learnt.
