Two shot dead in Chuadanga
Two people were killed in a shooting between two rivals group of drug traders in Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga, confirmed police.
The incident took place at Gobindahuda field on Thursday night.
The victims were identified as Jantu Miah, son of Abul Kashem hailing from Iswarchandrapur upazila and Dhulo Biswas, son of Moshiur Rahman of Charlie village in the same upazila.
The bodies were sent to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital morgue.
The sub-inspector of Damurhuda police station said a team of police were patrolling on Gobindahuda-Karpus Danga area. On information from the villagers, police rushed to the spot and recovered two wounded bodies. Meanwhile, sensing the presence of police, the two groups fled the scene.
Police sent them to the Sadar Hospital where doctors declared them dead, he said.
Narcotics and homemade weapons were recovered from the area, he added.
