Father held following son’s death at Bangla Motor

Police finally unfolded the mystery of making hostage of two minor boys with capturing their father following death of one of the kids from Bangla Motor area in the capital this afternoon, reports BSS.

Law enforcing agencies including police and RAB surrounded a house at Bangla Motor Link Road since morning following information of making hostage of a two and a half years old boy Nur Safayet and his four years old elder brother Surayet by their father.

Police finally arrested Nuruzzaman Kazol, the father of the kids, and rescued Surayet alive and Safayet dead. The cause behind death of the child could not be known immediately as no injury marks was found on his body, police said, adding that the body has been sent to the morgue of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) for postmortem.

Assistant commissioner of police for Ramna zone Ehsanul Ferdous said that the arrestee claimed him innocent saying that he didn’t kill his son as he died from electric shock.

He, however, said they didn’t say how the child died as they found no cut or wound on Safayet’s body, adding that they would wait for a postmortem report.
