2 more arrested for making fake news websites

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have arrested two more people for making fake news websites as like different national newspapers including Daily Prothom Alo. 

Identities of the detainees have not been disclosed. 

“They were arrested from Dhaka’s Mohammadpur and Gazipur’s Tongi on Wednesday night. Some laptops and mobile phone were recovered from their possession,” said Mufti Mahmud Khan, Legal and Media wing director of RAB headquarters.

Further details will be disclosed later today, he added. 

Earlier on November 24, RAB arrested a PhD researcher Enamul Haque from Dhaka airport area for making fake news websites.
