10 lakh youths get training in 5 years: Biren Sikder

More than 10 lakh youth both males and females received training in the last five years from different youth training centers across the country under the Department of Youth Development.

Youth and Sports Minister Dr Biren Sikder said this on Tuesday in the Jatiya Sangsad in replying to a tabled question from the treasury bench member Mahfuzur Rahman of Chittagong-3.

A total of 10, 14,072 youths received training on different technical courses in the last five years and 4, 29,465 trained youths have already become self-employed, said the minister.
