Bus fare cut by 3 paisa per km

The government has decided to reduce bus fare by 3 paisa per kilometre for long route buses.The new fare has been fixed at 1 taka 4 paisa per km, previously which was 1 taka 45 paisa.

The ministry took the decision after considering two separate proposals placed by Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) and the bus owners.

The Road Transport and Bridges Ministry issued a circular in this regard on Tuesday.

The Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges took the decision following the recent cuts in fuel prices.
