Govt introduces Mother of Humanity Social Welfare Award

The government on Monday introduced Mother of Humanity Social Welfare Award.
The decision was taken at the cabinet meeting headed by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the Secretariat.
Earlier the cabinet approved the draft of the Mother of Humanity Social Welfare Award Policy-2018.
Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam confirmed the matter to the journalists after the meeting.
He said the award has been introduced in the country as the Prime Minister was recognized as mother of humanity in the world. The award will be given for the outstanding performance in five fields.
The Social Welfare ministry will deliver the award on January 2 every year at the programme of National Social Service day.
