Action if election officials found biased: EC

Warning the election officials, Election Commissioner Shahadat Hossain Chowdhury on Saturday said if any allegation of biasness is found against them during the 11th parliamentary election, strict action would be taken. 

Shahadat Hossain said this while speaking at a training progamme of returning officers at Election Training Institute at Agargaon.

“Neutrality is very important for all elections including this one,” he said. 

Shahadat asked the election officers to maintain neutrality while discharging election duties.

The upcoming election will be a participatory one, the commissioner said, adding that the officials will have to create equal opportunity for every candidate.  

The Election Commission is committed to hold a free, fair and acceptable election, he said.
