235 police officers promoted to SP

The government has promoted 235 Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) to the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP).
The home ministry in a circular on Wednesday said the order will make effective immediately.
The promotion, for the officers who are on study leave or in peacekeeping mission abroad, will be effective after their joining, it added in the circular.
