PM orders technocrat ministers to resign

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ordered four technocrat ministers to resign from the cabinet.

Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Tuesday told the reporters. 

The technocrat ministers are Science and Technology Minister Yafes Osman, Posts, telecommunications and information technology minister MustafaJabbar, Religion Minister Matiur Rahman and Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Nurul Islam BSc.

Quader said, the premier ordered the technocrat ministers to resign at an informal meeting after the formal meeting of the cabinet at PM office. 

Prime Minister will brief at a press conference at Ganabhaban on Thursday evening after the talks with all political parties, Quaded added.
