Writ filed seeking division to Barrister Mainul in jail

A writ petition has been filed with the High Court seeking to give Barrister Mainul Hossain the first-class division in jail.
Mainul’s lawyer Advocate Khandaker Mahbub Hossain confirmed the matter to Jago News on Sunday.
The hearing is to be held today, he said.
On October 23, the lower court sent Jaita Oikyafront leader and Barrister Mainul Hosein to jail in a case filed for defaming journalist Masuda Bhatti on a talk show of private channel Ekattor TV.
Detective Branch of police arrested the former caretaker government adviser from in front of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) President ASM Abdur Rob’s Uttara residence on October 22.
