Diya Khanam Mim and Abdul Karim Rajib, first year students of Shaheed Ramiz Uddin Cantonment College, were killed as a bus ploughed through some students in front of Kurmitola General Hospital on the Airport Road in the capital on July 29, 2018.

A Dhaka court has framed charges against the owner of Jabal-e-Noor Paribahan Shahadat Hossain and five others in a case over the death of two college students in a road accident on the Airport Road.

Dhaka Metropolitan Session Judge Imrul Kayes on Thursday passed the order.

Earlier on October 22, the same court accepted the charge sheet against the owner of Jabal-e-Noor Paribahan Shahadat Hossain and five others in the case.

On September 6, the police pressed charges in the case.

On July 29, Diya Khanam Mim and Abdul Karim Rajib, first year students of Shaheed Ramiz Uddin Cantonment College, were killed as a bus ploughed through some students in front of Kurmitola General Hospital on the Airport Road in the capital.

The accident triggered widespread protest by students, demanding safe roads and seeking justice for their fellows.
