LGED addl chief engineer killed in Dinajpur road crash

An engineer of Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) was killed in a road accident at Uchitpur area of Dinajpur on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Afzal Hossain, 59, an additional chief engineer of Local Government Engineering Department in Rangpur.
Confirming the news, Chirirbandar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Haresul Islam said that the incident took place while a car carrying him collided head-on with a truck in Uchitpur area on the Fulbari-Dinajpur road at 9am.
Engineer Afzal Hossain died on the spot and his driver injured who was admitted to Dinajpur Medical Hospital, he added.
