Bomb attack on Bagura bus: 3 hurt, 1 arrested
At least three women were injured as some miscreants hurled petrol bombs on a passenger bus in Bagura on Wednesday.
The incident took place in front of the TMSS petrol pump at Sajapur Radharghat area of Shahjahanpur upazila in the district around 2pm.
Police arrested Assistant Agriculture Affairs Secretary of Bagura district Juba Dal Nur Mahmud in this connection.
Three women with burn injuries were admitted to Bagura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital.
The injured were identified as Anjuara Begum, 50, wife of Mozammel Haque of Nilphamari, Munira Begum, 40 and Shamima, 27, daughter of Samsul Haque of Tangail.
Latiful Islam, officer-in-charge of Shahjahanpur Police Station, said some miscreants hurled petrol bombs on Dhaka-bound Nabil Classic Paribahan after a Dhaka court announced the verdict in 21 August grenade attack cases.
At that time police nabbed Juba Dal leader Nur Mahmud from the spot, he added.
