2 held over BASIC Bank scam

The Anti-Corruption Commission arrested two businessmen in a case filed over BASIC Bank’s Tk 76 crore loan scam early on Saturday.

A team of ACC conducted a driver in Jamalpur and arrested Sarwar Jahan and Shamim Ahmed Suja, directors of MRL Auto Bricks.

ACC Public Relations Officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya confirmed the matter.

Deputy Director of ACC Hrittik Saha, Md. Ebrahim, Shamsul Alam, S M Rafiqul Islam, Assistant Director Fazle Hosen and Deputy Assistant Director Shahiduzzaman conducted the drive jointly.
