BNP gets permission to hold rally at Suhrawardy Udyan

BNP has got permission to hold a rally in the capital’s historic Suhrawardy Udyan on May 1, marking the May Day.

BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said this at a press conference  at party’s headquarters in Dhaka around 11:20 am on Friday.

On Thursday, police gave the permission to hold rally at Suhrawardy Udyan. Earlier, the Ministry of Public Works allowed, said Rizvi.

Rizvi also said, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is scheduled to address the rally as the chief guest.
