27 cops injured in Barisal road crash

27 members of armed police battalion (APBn) were injured in a head on collision between a police carrying bus and a truck on the Dhaka-Barisal highway in Chhoymile area at Babuganj upazila of Barisal around 7am on Friday.

Jalaluddin, injured sub inspector of police of APBn, said a bus named Abdulla Paribahan carrying 27 members of the force collided head-on with a truck and hit a roadside tree, leaving all the policemen inside injured.

The injured were admitted to Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital.
