2 hacked dead in Lakshmipur

Two people were hacked and shot dead by miscreants at the village of Rajibpur of Bangakha union in Lakshmipur early on Friday.

The deceased are identified as Manik (45) and Kamrul Islam (27) both are residents of the Rajibpur village.

The deceased’s relatives said Manik and Kamrul left their residents after receiving unknown phone calls at around 1:15am. They did not return home at night.

Later, local people discovered their bodies near a shop early on Friday morning and called police.

Confirming the matter the Lakshmipur assistant superintendent of police (ASP circle) Md. Nasim Mia said the deceased’s were drug dealers and were wanted in several cases.

The ASP said the two people have been killed following feud over drug business.
