RU confers D Lit degrees on Haque, Selina

Rajshahi University (RU) has conferred the D Lit degrees on eminent writer Selina Hossain and Professor Hassan Azizul Haque in recognition of their laudable contributions to Bangla literary field.

President Abdul Hamid and also the chancellor of RU conferred the degrees on the two legendary persons on the occasion of its 10th convocation held on the campus on Saturday.

Haque obtained his post-graduation degree from the Department of Philosophy in 1960 and joined the department as a teacher in 1973. He received the Ekushey Padak in 1999.

Writer Selina Hossain earned her graduation and post-graduation degrees from the Department of Bangla in 1967 and 1968 respectively.
