Bus crushes Ekattor TV official to death in capital

An official of Ekattor TV was crushed to death by a bus as its driver lost control over steering and hit a CNG auto rickshaw and motorbike in capital’s Jahangir Gate area this morning, BSS reported.

The deceased was identified as Anwar Hossain, executive officer of sales and marketing division of Ekattor Television.

Police sources said the bus of VIP-27 hit an auto rickshaw and a motorbike, crushing the rider Anwar under its wheels. Two people, including Anwar got seriously injured in the incident and Anwar later died at Kurmitola General Hospital at around 12.50 pm.

Police arrested the killer driver Sujon and seized his bus from the place of occurrence.

Officer in-charge of Kafrul Police Station Sikder Mohammad Shamim said a case has been lodged in this regard.
