PM reveals legal aid helpline 16430

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the national helpline call centre of the national legal aid service through talking to a female official over phone.

The aid seekers will get help by dialing 16430 or sending SMS.

The Prime Minister said on Thursday this while addressing the inaugural function of the National Legal Aid Services Day 2016 at the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh in Dhaka.

Sheikh Hasina said her government has taken steps to ensure legal aid services at the country’s grassroots level.

Chaired by Law Minister Advocate Anisul Haque, the programme was also addressed by Law Secretary Abu Saleh Sk Mohammad Zahirul Haque.
