3 killed in Chakaria road accident

At least three people were killed again in another road accident on Cox’s Bazaar-Chattogram highway in Chakaria of Cox’s Bazaar on Wednesday. 

The incident took place when a Cox’s Bazaar bound covered-van of Rainbow courier services rams an easy-bike in Harbang Inani Resort area of the upazila.

The identities of the deceased couldn’t be known immediately. 

Confirming the matter, highway police in-charge Nure Alam said that a team of police was sent to the spot. 

Witnesses said that a cox’s bazaar bound covered-van with a sticker of Rainbow courier services (Dhaka Metro-M-11-4414) rammed an easy-bike, leaving two passengers dead on the spot. 

Shovon Dey, duty doctor of Chakaria Upazila Health Complex said that two died on the spot and another died while undergoing treatment in the hospital.

Chakartai police station Officer-in-charge Bakhtiar Chowdhury said that two dead bodies are kept in the police station and another is in the hospital.

Earlier on Tuesday, a total of seven people were killed in a head collision between a bus and leguna at Boroitola area of the upazila.
