Salam Murshedy takes oath as MP

The newly elected Awami League lawmaker from Khulna-4 constituency Abdus Salam Morshedy took oath on Thursday at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.
Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury administered the oath at her office.
On September 4, Abdus Salam Murshedy was elected MP uncontested as there was no other contender for the by-election to Khulna-4 constituency.
The by-election to Khulna-4 comprising of Rupsa, Terokhada and Dighalia was scheduled to be held on 20 September.
The parliamentary seat fell vacant following the death of AL's three-time MP SM Mostafa Rashidi Suja on 26 July last.
