Joy kidnapping case: Mahmudur Rahman on 5-day remand

A Dhaka court has granted five days of remand to Daily Amar Desh acting Editor Mahmudur Rahman in a case filed for plotting to abduct and murder Sajeeb Wazed Joy, ICT affairs adviser of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Golam Nabi granted the order after hearing on Monday.

On April 16, journalist Shafik Rehman was arrested in the same case.
