Youth held over RU teacher killing

Police held a suspected youth over the killing of Rajshahi University’s teacher Rezaul Karim Seddiki who was slaughtered to death by miscreants on Saturday morning.

Confirming the matter, Additional Commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Tomijuddin Sarder on Sunday said, police conducted a drive in different parts of Rajshahi and detained a suspected youth on Saturday night.

He said, the youth was taken to detective office and interrogated him. He didn’t disclose the identity of youth for the sake of investigation.

However a monitoring team of police formed for the incident met with Rajshahi University’s authority for half-an-hours.

Later the chief of monitoring team Tomijuddin Sarder told Jagonews24.com, police are investigating the matter by giving supreme importance.
