Voting ends at 711 UPs

The third phase of the election in 711 Union Parishads across the country has been ended.

The voting started at 8am and continued till 4pm on Saturday without any break.

Three people were injured in a clash between the supporters of Awami League and BNP candidates at a polling centre of Pastobi union parishad in Comilla.

Besides, the supporters of a reserved seat candidate reportedly snatched the ballot books from Khethashal centre of Durgapur union in Comilla Sadar upazila.

Judicial and executive magistrates, BGB personnel and police had been deployed in the respective areas to maintain law and order.
