Govt. accepts all demands of students over road crash: Kamal

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Thursday said the government has accepted all demands of the students over road crash and these demands will be fulfilled in phases.

“I am urging students to go back home as we are sincerely dealing with their demands,” he told a press conference held at his residence here, BSS reported.

Kamal urged parents, teachers, neighbors and governing bodies of schools to play a positive role for stopping the ongoing protests of the students.

The government will ensure maximum punishment to those responsible for killing of two students, he said adding students should not stay on the streets after accepting their all demands.

In a reply to a question, Kamal said, “We will not take any action against the students as they are too little as well as they are our children.”

The home minister also asserted that vehicles without licenses and route-permit would not be allowed to ply on the roads and highways. Law enforcement authorities have been asked to take stern action against such vehicles, he added.
