Monirul urges student protesters to go back to home

Dhaka Metropolitan Additional Police Commissioner Monirul Islam has urged student protesters to go back to their home.

He said while addressing an emergency press briefing in the DMP headquarters this noon.

He said we should learn from the students sometimes. They are setting up exemplary instances in front of us. We should do this before, but we didn’t. They are pointing the finger at our eyes, which means what to do right now to change the system.

Monirul said: “We convey our deep condolences to the deceased family. We cannot bring them to their family, but we can take proper measure against the culprits.”

“We are working to fulfil their demands,’' he also said.
